There’s nothing more stylish than making the world better. Jan Leslie has collaborated with 17-year old neuroscience research intern Maxwell Silverstein to develop the LightningLinks collection of men’s accessories. It’s a fashionable way to elevate awareness of stroke research and propel successful rehabilitation. For each purchase of these custom design cufflinks or tie bars, Jan Leslie will make a donation to support neuroscience rehabilitation research at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
LightningLinks Lightening Bolt Tie Bar - Each lightning bolt tie bar is crafted in 925 sterling silver with a shining lightning bolt that stands out against the brushed texture of the bar itself.
LightningLinks Light Bulb Cufflinks - Each pair of lightbulb cufflinks is crafted in 925 sterling silver and intricate enamel detailing that perfectly depicts the clever brightness of a lit lightbulb.
LightningLinks cufflinks and tie bars are completed with an anti-tarnish rhodium finish for long-lasting wear.
As an outgrowth of Silverstein’s stroke and brain research internship, he has designed LightningLinks and produced them in partnership with The Human Brain Physiology and Stimulation Laboratory in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins Medicine, directed by Pablo A. Celnik, MD. Proceeds from the sales of LightningLinks will be donated to support the lab’s cutting edge research. In addition to funding studies, these proceeds from the sales of LightningLinks will be used for outreach to light up awareness and to sponsor community educational events such as facility tours and education about the signs of a stroke.
